SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.
Let’s make this cookbook OURS!
PS That’s just a mock cover!!
Finally – a cookbook!
This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.
Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.
Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….
I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!
Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!
I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.
So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂
If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.
I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.
So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).
They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!
Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!
– Nagi x
PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️
Life of Dozer
I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄
Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

What a response Nagi !!! I am now reading the comments and going to try recipes that others like 😁
Congrats and all the best, can’t wait, my son is going to love it 💕

Would love to see the recipe for dry shredded chilli beef, can’t find one that imitates the ahi see takeaway.

Hi Nagi
Can you please include your Christmas Baked Salmon. I made it last Christmas and it was amazing and a big hit with everyone. Also looks stunning
Toby says
Pub style chicken curry!

A suggestion for the new cookbook,
A favourite of mine
Lamb Schwarma Soup – HOWEVER with a name change. I’t not really a soup and the title isn’t that appealing but the dish is outstanding, quick and with easily available ingredients.
Norma says
Great news! How about a recipe for Coq au Vin made with white wine instead of the usual red wine? Or perhaps a great Chicken made with Champagne. Both would be wonderful.
Elaine Davids says
Please let it be a book for the coffee table – not a Ebola! Hate those
Please make sure you put your no knead bread recipe in it- and maybe how to make sourdough? Good luck Nagi!
Kathrine says
I’M SO EXCITED!! This is amazing 🥰
As for recipes, I’d love if you put a lot of your Asian and Asian inspired dishes in! They are absolutely delicious!
Butter chicken, mongolian sticky beef, beef ramen etc etc!
And please do the Jamie Oliver thing where you write a bit about your own connection to / relationship with the dishes ❤️
Brooke says
I’d love to see the slow cooker leg of lamb in your cook book. It’s a favourite in our household
Linda Quinn says
Congratulations, what an exciting adventure.
I love it when you highlight dishes to serve with your recipes. I nearly always add your suggested side dishes. This would be a great addition to your cook book.

I always go to my cookbooks for the quick and easy things that I love… especially quick and easy desserts.
I love the substitutes you always include, as well as what’s essential to a recipe.
Oh, and a section on sauces would be good, things to make a meal extra special…
I would buy your cookbook even just to have a printed copy of your one-pot oven baked risotto! That’s a winner right there!!
Le says
Oh my goodness, I would literally make every recipe of yours if I could!
I would love sweets recipes as your current ones are absolutely divine and always a hit (moist apple cake, easy chocolate cupcakes, oatmeal raisin cookies).
Congratulations Nagi 🙂

And lots of photos! My pet peeve with cookbooks is not enough visuals.

Well, just don’t forget the ground beef!! LOL Just kidding, wanted to give you a laugh. It’s hard to choose because every recipe of yours I’ve ever made has been phenomenal. Here are my go-tos that I always share around:
Beef Ribs in BBQ Sauce, French Onion Soup, the Soft, No Knead Dinner Rolls, Healthy Veg Soup, Vegetable Beef Soup, Chicken with Creamy Sundried Tomato Sauce, Baked Macaroni Cheese with Chicken & Broccoli, Bibimbap, Quick Asian Beef Ramen Noodles… I just can’t name all my faves. I think including your technique for tenderising/velveting meat would be amazing! Can’t wait to get your cookbook!
Halina Harding says

I am a big book nerd, only own 314 cookbooks so far.
Very visual so must have photos of all recipes, storage tips are great – keep for 3 days in fridge, freezes well etc. Cakes ? put in fridge or not that sort of info.
Must include Charlie sauce, Carnitas, Beef burrito, Chook chow mien, Goan fish curry and a full chapter on Japanese recipes. Thx mum xxx

Congratulations on the book deal! You deserve it. We’d love to see your MACARONI CHEESE included as it is, undoubtedly, the best ever! Thank you x
Leanne says
A BIG congratulations to you! My household is a longtime massive fan of yours. I’m cooking onion for your infamous FO dip as I post. We hope Dozer will feature on the cover too;) We have two things on our wishlist please: the bestest chilli mussels recipe = one that is worthy of having the sauce mopped up with delicious crusty bread; and how to best peel kiwi fruit! Thanks so much Nagi. We loved your Tassie tour too. Thanks for inspiring those who aren’t as savvy in the kitchen. Big wishes to you (and Dozer) for the cookbook. Cheers Leanne x

Hi dozer and nagi.
I think alot of people are doing it tough, so any recipes that’s easy on the purse. Chicken and pork are our cheapest meats, even sausages, braised, curried, decostructed burgers
