SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.
Let’s make this cookbook OURS!
PS That’s just a mock cover!!
Finally – a cookbook!
This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.
Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.
Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….
I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!
Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!
I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.
So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂
If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.
I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.
So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).
They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!
Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!
– Nagi x
PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️
Life of Dozer
I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄
Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

Would love to see some gluten free recipes and if possible ways of adapting traditional recipes to make them gluten free I have 3 celiac children and and finding tasty recipes can be a problem I also have a golden named Hudson who could be Dozer’s clone!
Margaret says
I’d really like a section with all your wonderful stir-fry sauces.
Irene says
Recipes for one and or for 2 people
Rosemary says
Vegetarian moussaka please!! Lots of healthy and vegie recipes generally.
Sunny says
I would use a cookbook often if it included quick easy lunch and dinner recipes for the everyday. I really love that even if you use niche ingredients, you provide substitutes that we may have in our pantry rather than buying something we’d use for that one recipe and never again… “impressive” yet easy meals for guests, quick and easy treats/desserts and love your tips and “staple” sauces you included in your free e-books! You’re one of my fave go-tos when cooking because it’s easy to follow, includes video recipes and notes explaining things!!!

I see volume I with old recipes and volume II with new recipes. Need lots of photos and tips. Would love for it to be spiral bound or loose leaf to lie flat. Can’t wait!

Marie K says
Would love to see all the comfort food recipes such as butter chicken, corn bread, no knead bread, etc in the cook book. Looking forward to getting a copy when it’s released!

Congrats. Put me down for 1 already 🙂 I can’t get enough of your Garlic Rice Chicken. Love it. But anything in there we will all love. Thanks to you and Dozer. Love your Website

Hi Nagi,
Your recipes have made me fall in love with cooking. I find peace and serenity now when I am in the kitchen. It has helped me with my mental health and brought up a skill I wasn’t aware I had. I owe you a big thank you ❤️
Greta news about the cookbook, so exciting and thank you for asking for our input. I personally would like to see lentil easy and quick recipes. Your lentil curry is one of our favourite dishes which is prepared at least once a fortnight.
Thank you again and best of luck with the cookbook. Looking forward to it 😍

I am absolutely loving all the recipes you have been posting. I love the variety. I love that some are sooo easy and others are a little more involved.
i feel that anything you put in your recipe book will be a hit and well received by everyone (congratulations and well done, Nagi).
Do you think there would be a following for recipes that could be used for an entire meal…like a dinner party or special occasion meals? I love having family and friends over for dinner and usually sit down and plan everything from the starter to the dessert! Could this be useful to others?
All the best on your new endeavour…looking forward to the end result.

Congratulations!
Street food from countries like India or Mexico please. Packed with flavour.

Hi Nagi thank you! I just love your recipes but I must ask to please share easy/tasty and spicy recipes using things like chickpeas/all pulses and seafood – I’m trying to cut down on meat and have officially gone off chicken so sometimes I just run out of ideas.
I’m on my own but cook every night as I enjoy it and your recipes inspire me@ Big hug to Dozer!!

My mother used to make Chocolate Custard, probably, her Mother’s recipe. My sister and I have tried to re create but it’s a fail every time.

For the book Nagi…I yearn to serve a hot/cold seafood platter that has professional balance. I long for the one that used to be served at Dedes in the Sydney Rowing Club… pickled octopus, a bit of this and that. Hot comes first and second plate the cold.

I would love to see some recipes suitable for when guests come round that don’t require lots of last minute preparations that take you away from the guests. One pot recipes that can come straight from the oven to the table would be wonderful. I often cater for vegetarians and gluten intolerant guests so something to accommodate them too even if it means splitting the dish into two. Love your recipes and the suggestions and substitute items which makes it so easy .

Asian meals, they are quick nutritious and reasonably cheap, I trust you Nagi so anything you put in the book I will love ❤️Looking forward to this cookbook 😊
