SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.
Let’s make this cookbook OURS!
PS That’s just a mock cover!!
Finally – a cookbook!
This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.
Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.
Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….
I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!
Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!
I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.
So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂
If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.
I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.
So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).
They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!
Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!
– Nagi x
PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️
Life of Dozer
I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄
Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

Hi Nagi, would love to see more Latin-American food, e.g. different types of empanadas from Argentina, Colombia, Mexico. Also different tamales, Peruvian food that is amazing and Brazilian snacks that are to die for
Thank you!!! I am a total fan and can’t wait for the book to be out

I would like Chinese Food recipes just like the dishes you get at a very good Chinese Restaurant.
I love your site. Even better, I love how you are helping the community.

Yay!! Finally!! Cannot wait for the cookbook! Definitely Emergency dump and Bake Fried Rice has been a recent winner in my household, such a delicious dish that is so easy to make! Also big fan of your apple and cinnamon muffin recipe – saviour during lockdown!

Yay!!! I’d love to see my Tudou Si which is think translates to something similar to stir fried chilli vinegar potato’s – my favourite Chinese snack but sometimes it’s super oily when ordered out. I also love Avgolemono which is a Greek egg lemon chicken soup – both pure comfort dishes for me but might be too simple for your book. Good luck Nagi – I know you will kill it and I can’t wait xx

How Exciting for you, congratulations. First of all a huge big thank you for saving my life (well almost) I discovered you during our first lockdowns in Melbourne last year. I have spent many many days reading through all your recipes and cooking lots of them. I love the way you explain not just the recipes but the ingredients and which ones are the best to use. I love all your bread recipes and would love to see those in your book. Maybe some traditional recipes from other countries that you often feature. Whatever recipes you use, I am sure that you will have put in loads of effort to produce the best flavours. Thank you again, Love to you and Dozer x

I have cooked so many of your recipes. Every single one has turned out amazing. You are now my go to, whenever I need a recipe (you’ve over taken jamie Oliver!) my favourites are your Asian dishes. And omg the pulled pork 😋 I love seeing an email come in with a new recipe to try. I for definite will be buy your cook book 😁

Really excited to hear about your upcoming cookbook! I do love a good hard copy cookbook despite having hundreds of recipes collected in my cookbook app. Will definitely pick it up!
I have to say your laksa recipe is fabulous and goes down very well in our house when I can get hold of the ingredients (having lived regionally for several years and thankfully just moved back to a city!). It’s as close to the authentic stuff we used to get in Sydney as we can manage at home. I always love your Asian recipes, and just to throw something obscure in there my partner has German and eastern European ancestry, so please include a few of those – shout out for schweinshaxe!

Hi Nagi, I made your butter chicken and chickpea pilaf today and my husband was asking which recipes I used as he enjoyed them so much. I told him it was yours and he said you should write a cookbook with all the recipes we cook and enjoy from you! Lo and behold this comes in my inbox! 😆 Definitely add your chicken briyani to the book as we make it almost every fortnight, it’s that good! Good luck with the book. I can’t wait to get my hands on it! 💕

CONGRATULATIONS! This is so exciting! I would love to see the recipes where you can use the leftovers for something else (risotto -> Aranci balls / beef cheeks -> pie & ragu) – there’s only me and my partner, and when there are recipes which are difficult to divide down to two (e.g. when there is one egg for a recipe for four people…), it is nice to have something interesting to do with the leftovers!
