SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.
Let’s make this cookbook OURS!
PS That’s just a mock cover!!
Finally – a cookbook!
This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.
Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.
Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….
I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!
Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!
I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.
So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂
If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.
I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.
So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).
They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!
Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!
– Nagi x
PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️
Life of Dozer
I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄
Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

So excited for this! I adore recipe books but since I’ve found your site, I admit that I don’t use mine nearly as often anymore..!
Things I always need to look up that I love it when they’re in the book/recipe are conversions!! Cups/spoons to ml, volumes to mass (Eg, how many grams is a tablespoon of butter), canned to dried equivalent (eg black beans/chickpeas).
And your recipe notes are always great, especially what to substitute (and what not to use as a substitute!)
I also love when the index includes ingredients with lists of recipes underneath.
Sauces and spice mixes that can be made in bulk and stored.
Good luck with the book!!! It’ll be amazing no matter which of your recipes you include!

Hi Nagi, I made your butter chicken and chickpea pilaf today and my husband was asking which recipes I used as he enjoyed them so much. I told him it was yours and he said you should write a cookbook with all the recipes we cook and enjoy from you! Lo and behold this comes in my inbox! 😆 Definitely add your chicken briyani to the book as we make it almost every fortnight, it’s that good! Good luck with the book. I can’t wait to get my hands on it! 💕

Would love to see some really tasty Gluten Free meals. A very good friend is Gluten Intolerant and it would be good to cook some special, delicious meals for them.

Oh my goodness! So pleased as I love your recipes but I always prefer to have an actual recipe book in front of me rather than my iPad! I would love to see the following in it:
– One pot Greek lemon chicken rice
– Malaysian satay chicken curry
– Thai mango curry
– Thai chicken cashew nuts
– Acqua Pazza
– Thai fish cakes
– Strawberry cake
Please could you include UK measurements as well (grams instead of cups).
Best of luck! Xxx

I would love to see sections of fast and easy tasty weekday meals, special Sunday dinners for the family and even Holiday meals like a whole turkey or prime rib.
Thank you for giving us a chance to give some input for your upcoming cookbook. You are very appreciated for continuing to guide those of us who have the want and will to cook, but lack the knowledge of great recipes. So excited for you and for us!

Hi Nagi, love your recipes and so glad you’re planning this cook book which I can’t wait to grab a copy hot off the press in due course.
There are so so many recipes I love but I’ve narrowed it down to these:
– Beef ribs in BBQ sauce (orgasm)
– Baked fried rice genius)
– Crispy fried corn fritters
– Ottolenghi’s green bean salad
– Mushroom rice pilaf
– Malfatti
– Beef enchiladas
– Sweet potato salad
– Roast pumpkin, spinach & feta salad
Could go on and on but won’t … love many of the Asian dishes too but think others will nominate many of the ones I like so will just put forward my nominations.
Good luck with it all xx

Nothing comes close to “Charlie” stir fry dressing.
Just call the book ‘Charlie and friends’

Hi Nagi,
congratulations and best wishes with your cookbook. I would love as many of the recipes from your website as you can fit in and whatever you choose as new ones.
I can’t wait to buy it but I’ll probably need two copies. One to cook from regularly and one that won’t get food stains on it because it will live on my coffee table.
I wish you every success with your RecipeTin Meals project. What a wonderful thing to do for the people who receive the meals. You are a great role model and inspiration. If only there were many more people like you Nagi, the world would be a kinder place for us all.
Warmest regards, Maria.
P.S. Your crumpet recipe has no rival. They are amazing. Thank you xx.
