SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.
Let’s make this cookbook OURS!
PS That’s just a mock cover!!
Finally – a cookbook!
This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.
Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.
Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….
I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!
Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!
I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.
So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂
If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.
I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.
So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).
They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!
Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!

PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️
Life of Dozer
I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄
Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

A section on vegetarian recipes would be great. Not laden with eggs. Just good easy recipes.

I will definitely buy your cook book! I love so many of your recipes, especially the Asian ones. I have learnt to cook Asian food following your recipes. They are simple and tasty. I made the blueberry yoghurt cake this weekend and it was moist and delicious. Looking forward to the book!

Congratulations Nagi!
Can you do 2 cookbooks – one with all the website favourites and one with new recipes!?
I would love a custard tart recipe, apple and rhubarb pie, and some vegetarian weeknight recipes along with chicken vol-a-vents and more of your fabulous soups!!
Thanks and good luck

Dear Nagi, can I put forward a plea that your book is not the usual cookbook, but a manual? That is a working book, with a section per recipe for my own notes and changes, also who I made the dish for, so I don’t give guests the same dish twice, but more importantly, if the print could be of a size that is lager than the average novel? I find myself always squinting at recipes, so annoying.
I love all your recipes, so what ever you include please keep the notes! I have learnt so much more about food and techniques since I followed your blog. I hope you don’t mind my recipe book rant!

I have been using your gorgeous recipes for a while now, my daughter moved out beginning of this year and now loves Recipetineats.

Hi Nagi, I enjoy lots of your recipes but the one I like best is the Baked Mediterranean Chicken Dinner. It’s not a flash dinner but it tastes great and is an easy mid week dinner. I definitely think the recipe deserves to go in your cookbook. Congratulations by the way on signing up for it!

I really love ingredient swaps. I live in a rural town with 1 small supermarket, so listing ‘swaps’ for more unusual or ‘exotic’ ingredients is really helpful. Finger food/canape recipes.

The sticky chicken drumsticks in Chinese plum sauce is my absolute favourite!!!
Also your butter chicken recipe is delish, I would love to see those 2 recipes in there! 😍😍🤤🤤

Hi Nagi
So please you are going to put together a book!
Would love it if you could include the making ahead and storage info. I have two small children so always looking for batch cooking alternatives to bolognaise or chilli!
Thank you!

Honey garlic chic breast, spinach and ricotta rotolo, swedish meatballs, any mexican or asian recipes, lemon and herb risotto, oh Nagi! I want them all, don’t make me choose! So many recipes, this better be a very thick book with thousands of pages!!

Dear Nagi,
Very excited for you and your project! My absolute favorites from you are your Greek Gyros with Tzatziki, the basic Flat Bread, and the Ricciarelli (my family cannot get enough of it)! Otherwise, hmm… you are really good with marinades, a section of marinades for different kinds of meat and what vegetables would make a good one-pan roast with said meat might be nice!
