SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.
Let’s make this cookbook OURS!
PS That’s just a mock cover!!
Finally – a cookbook!
This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.
Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.
Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….
I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!
Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!
I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.
So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂
If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.
I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.
So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).
They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!
Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!
– Nagi x
PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️
Life of Dozer
I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄
Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

I have been watched your youtube channel for a while and I am impressed with your recipes, easy to follow and delicious. God blesses you. Thanks

Amazing news Nagi! Agree with the other comments that your “hints”, “substitutions” and “Recipe Notes” are extremely valuable and have enabled me to cook recipes when I would’ve otherwise been limited by what was available to me at the time.
Personally, my favourites are recipes that I can make and then use leftovers to make an entirely new dish, things like your pulled pork (both BBQ and Carnitas recipes are regulars for me) because they are so versatile.
I also think your curry recipes are great, but I rarely make curry paste so it’s the “tips” for using a tinned paste that means I still follow the recipe instead of using the instructions on the tinned version and it makes a huge difference. I also do the same with your roast recipes – It’s more the tips like what cut/temp to cook pork on to get the crispiest crackling, less about the actual recipe.
I also like your bread recipes, including flatbreads/naan. They always come out perfectly, where other sites have flopped.
Anyway, hope this isn’t too much of a ramble, but I’m super excited for this project of yours! Good luck x

Fantastic news. Lots of South East Asian, South Asian and Asian recipes. Especially Malaysian. And please, no boring and tasteless American ground beef recipes… unless it’s a hamburger.

Congratulations! Well deserved
I’d love to see family dishes.
Also pasta!

Looking forward to it!!
I would definitely like you to add the Vanilla cake with buttercream frosting. Delicious!

I’d love mix n match menus, this dish with this side (like you do on your site) and when basic recipes have added or changed up options. Heres the basic dish, snaz it up some more and then snaz it up even more for when the in-laws come around – etc. Looking forward to it!

Nagi congratulations this is fantastic news. I cook your recipes ALL the time and have really enjoyed every one of them. I’m so excited as I’ve been hoping you would make a cookbook for so long. I would like massaman curry, Vietnamese lemongrass chicken, pulled pork etc etc but also slow cook meals as was as gluten free and vegetarian. I can’t wait to pre order your recipe book.
Big cuddles to Dozer.

Comfort eats, simple meals made awesome, and eats that can be adapted (ie to be gluten free, dairy free, low FODMAP, whatever). Also vego mains, pretty please! Yay! Looking forward to it! 😃😋😍

I’m so excited! Please include all your helpful tips like “don’t leave this out, or it won’t be the same” (because I’m always tempted to leave something out as I think I don’t like it, but then it turns out amazing) and “this cut of meat will work and this won’t” advice. I also find your substitution options and storage suggestions very helpful.
All your slow cooked meat, roast pork/chicken, and pie (love your Aussie meat pie) recipes have turned out fantastic!
Most importantly, please include pics of Dozer!

About blooming time!!!! That’s the best news I’ve heard all 2021. Congratulations. The book won’t be complete unless it has your:
* Thai Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce
* Thai Grilled Chicken
* Savory Cheese muffins
* One pot Pasta Bolognese
* Chicken in white wine sauce
but the one which must, must, must be in there is the Chicken in creamy mushroom sauce. That’s the one my family calls the ‘restaurant meal’. I’ve made that for my inlaws and my parents and everyone raves about it. We adore it.
Congrats again 🙂

Cookbook is a great idea, I always wait for your daily recipe to come in. An easy family meal section would be a winner. Love the fried rice dump bake for that. Best of luck choosing the favs, it will be hard!
Gina Riddell says
Clearly you will need a full chapter on ground beef!
A few dog friendly recipes would be amazing along with:
Lamb massaman curry
No knead bread
Actually just all of your recipes please!!

Congratulations … can’t wait to get my hands on it! Requests? Secrets for the perfect …

I looove this idea, Nagi! My grandma made the satay – beef, chicken, pork. With sticky rice. Can you bring back some memories for me with “Grandma’s Satay”? We don’t have the recipe, but I am sure you will do GREAT!

I would love to see an african dish like jollof rice or any other African dishes. All your recipes are amazing though. Would be happy with any. Cant wait to get my hands on book in 2022

Hi Nagi
I and my family really enjoy the slow cooked leg of lamb. It tastes wonderful every time and is simply outstanding and easy to make.

I first thought of Shabu Shabu – but then i found it on your mum’s site. So, my request is now for Korean Hotpots. Cheers & thanks. Bryan
