SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.
Let’s make this cookbook OURS!
PS That’s just a mock cover!!
Finally – a cookbook!
This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.
Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.
Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….
I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!
Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!
I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.
So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂
If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.
I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.
So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).
They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!
Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!

PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️
Life of Dozer
I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄
Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

I would love a small section of the book to have some air fryer recipes , I have just made your sweet and sour chicken which is amazing . I put the chicken on air fryer for 10 mins rather than the oven . Heated air fryer to 190 which only took a few minutes . Would have taken 15 mins in my oven. They turned out a treat .

Traditional Cornish Pasties. This means no carrot. Must be chunky meat, not mince. Traditional pastry too, with the “handle” on top, not the side.

I would love to see:
– all in one traybake ideas
– slow cooker section
– soups
– burger and sandwich section
– work lunches
– finger foods
– feeding a crowd
– weekday and weekend breakfasts
– a few dinner party menus inspired by different cuisines and occasions.
– breads
– roasts
– quickie section for snacks, weeknight meals and desserts.
– freezable meals (great for families)
– Please note clearly on recipes if they are freezable and for how long.
– Please note nutritional information and accurately what size serving that’s based on.
– Low carb section
– vegetarian mains and sides
I’m sooo asking too much!!! I think this is three cookbooks 😂😂😂

I love this! Dedicate the book to your number loyal fan : Dozer. Dedicate chapters to dishes inspired from around the world, starting from your home land, Japan to your recent travels before Sydney lockdown, round two.

My absolute favorite recipe is the Cafe de Paris Steak Butter Sauce — I’ll be making another batch, we love it on fish, chicken, pork, vegetables oh, and of course on steak.
As for the cookbook, I’m looking forward to it. Thanks for including all of us, yoshimi.

I am so excited! For you and for my future self!
Not a recipe suggestion but I find it super annoying when recipe books don’t have a ribbon to let you flag the page! Especially when flipping between a main and a salad etc
Stacie says
Would love to see a little something from every category, a great all rounder cookbook! Slowcooker, sweets and a selection of different cuisines (:

Hi. I have followed your website for about a year and enjoy your recipes tremendously. You have put a twist on them that brings a uniqueness to the table!
Rachel says
Definitely put your Greek roast lamb in there, or your lamb Rohan Josh. I would say you should do an Indian cookbook, a Mexican one and a marinades cookbook 🙂
Maryanna says
I cannot believe it’s taken this long for you to have a book out and so super excited!! You have totally changed my outlook on cooking now for over 2 years and cannot believe we are so lucky to be able to receive such amazing recipes with just a click. I cannot wait to purchase. To try and pick what to put in there is ridiculously tough, every recipe I have tried has been insane and can only thank you for opening my eyes to what can be achieved and we will ignore the additional kilos added in the process. Love all your pasta and Asian dishes as well as Mexican and Greek, well just everything. Something new that I haven’t seen yet is maybe chicken and leak recipe, more American style Sangas, but your already nail so much. Love even the simplest of guides like roasting veggies or making marinades so for beginners that would be great to include. Maybe some more slow cooking? Congratulations and thank you again for changing our lives!
Cheryl says
