All UK, US and Canadian Dinner cookbook pre-order customers will receive a free bonus digital recipe book that contains ten+ brand new recipes I created especially for you. A thank you gift for early buyers!
Dear Australians and New Zealanders disappointed to be missing out, skip down to my Letter to you. ❤️
Why am I offering this free gift?
This is a thank you gift for those in the UK, US & Canada who have pre-ordered a copy of Dinner. While here in Australia, my cookbook was released in October 2022, the release dates overseas are later: 27 February 2023 for the UK, and 28 March for the US & Canada.
Well, patience is not my greatest virtue, so it is a gesture of appreciation for your patience!!
What is the gift?
The free gift is a beautiful digital recipe book which contains ten+ never-before-seen recipes that I created especially for you. These recipes are brand new. They haven’t appeared on my website or in Dinner.
Like the recipes in Dinner, these in this digital book represent the food I love. Unpretentious. Hassle-free. Big on flavor. And they taste even better than they look!
Here’s a little sneak preview of some of the recipes!
And here are my now-famous Easy Brown Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies. I gave away hundreds of these cookies during the Australian cookbook tour. Countless people have since been begging for the recipe …. but I’ve refrained because I was saving it for this bonus digital recipe book!

A letter to Australians and New Zealanders …
Shortly after announcing this free offer, I started receiving messages from Australian and New Zealander readers who had already purchased my book and were disappointed to miss out on these bonus recipes.
I feel terribly guilty reading such messages. Sharing my recipes here on this website without barriers, for everyone to enjoy, is at the very heart of why I love what I do.
But the decision to make this free recipe book as a bonus for North American early buyers of Dinner was actually also driven by guilt. Guilt that North Americans who pre-ordered Dinner in October were seeing shared photos on social media of dishes made by Australians who already received their copy of Dinner. Many of our American and Canadian friends were understandably disappointed that they had to wait so many months before receiving their copy.
The staggered release of Dinner across the globe, especially in the countries where most of my readership lies (Australia/NZ, US, Canada, UK) has been the most challenging thing for me to manage. I am doing the best I can with communication and to appease those who have been disappointed and frustrated by the delay in getting their books.
This bonus recipe book offer is one way I am trying to make it up to people who have been forced to wait. It’s a small gesture to our US and Canadian readers to say thank you for your support by pre-ordering my book and your patience waiting 4 whole months before you receive it, all the while having to see and hear all about the recipes Australians are already enjoying from “Dinner!”
And so, to dear Australians and New Zealanders – I hope you understand why this offer is exclusively for North Americans. You already have the Dinner book! You are already 150+ recipes ahead!!!
To other countries where pre-orders are yet to even open, I promise you are not forgotten. There will be region-specific editions of this bonus cookbook coming your way too!
– Nagi x
PS. I cannot resist sharing ONE recipe. By popular demand, here is a downloadable version of the Brown Butter Choc Chip Cookies. These were extremely popular on the book tour!!
Life of Dozer
Just to reassure you, every recipe in the bonus digital recipe book has been given the tick of approval by Mr Dozer. (And Chef JB and an independent recipe tester I hired especially to check the recipes. Just because it’s a free gift, it doesn’t mean we lower our standards!)
pat Smith says
I preordered your cookbook but I have forgotten how I go about getting it. I remember it comes out in February but little else. I paid through amazon I think.
Irene says
I borrowed your book in our local library, and kid you not there’s 107 in the queue as of this writing and i’m 87th!!
It’ll be months before i get my hands on it but i’m sure it’s worth the wait.
I just wish my local library will order more copies to relieve the queue.
All the best Nagi!
Nagi says
Awww IRENE!!! This is the message of the day. 🙂 Which library is it? I could see if my publisher can do something here! N x
NoOneSixx says
How about actively and generously supporting the author by actually BUYING the book? This is a pre order SALES event that would help generate the revenue to write MORE BOOKS with these awesome recipes. You could always ease the queue by donating your copy once you are finished with it!
Jenny says
Dear Nagi,
Thank you kindly for all your hard work to create easy-to-follow and incredibly tasting recipes, a well-functioning and easy-to-use website, a cookbook, and now these downloadable recipes with beautiful pictures. My assumption is that the cookbook will be just as great, if not better!
I am in the U.S. and wanted you to know that there are those who remain fairly quiet on social media, who patiently await your cookbook with understanding: knowing that there are just some things that are out of our control. It’s obvious to many of us that you’re doing your absolute best, and then some.
I per-ordered your book in October 2022 assuming there would just be some restrictions you’d come across which were out of your control regarding when your book would reach us, simply due to covid. I hope we as US Americans are not so quick to forget what Australians had to endure when covid first started. As much as our own supplies were and are still delayed, I assume similar or worse occurred within Australia, as their restrictions were so much tougher than ours.
What is impressive is despite the restrictions that Australians had to live with, you still found a way to help so many around you, including health care providers. I am a licensed health care practitioner and I felt appreciated by you when I read about how you helped your local health care providers using your skills/talents. You are incredible and have positively touched the lives and hearts of many, even those very far from you.
From what I observe through various cooking websites/bloggers/recipe creators, you, in particular, go above and beyond in your work not just to create content, but to also help people in need. So though I did not expect anything extra such as these extra recipes but was pleasantly surprised by them, I can also see that you are consistently you- pushing out good work and always thinking of the people you can affect positively. I wish you extra rewards and successes for your consistently diligent work, creativity, while still remaining grounded/humble!
Thank you for keeping us in the loop regarding what is going on with your book. I hope you can find some time to take care of you, your health, and enjoy your time with family. NO JOB is worth losing your health over- speaking from experience. Protect your life and health for the long run primarily for your sake, your family, for Dozer’s sake, and very last on the list, your customers. I know we all would love to keep getting more content from you over the long haul. Please don’t burn out <3

LOL! As a US citizen who will be preordering my copy this week, I am all for sharing the love. Feel free to release the extra digital recipes to whomever you like without my feeling being hurt. As my dad used to say, “no skin off my teeth!”
Jan says
I have bought 4 copies of your book, one for me and a friend and two are now wrapped awaiting for my son to come home from Denver CO. The decision was made when he asked for a recipe for mashed potato for Thanksgiving, it was a hit by the way by our American in-laws. We cannot wait for the book to be released in the States, so he will take one back for him and his brother in January. Love Love your book Nagi.
Delene Holmes says
Hi Nagi, I just love your recipes. My daughter told me about your website. Will I be able to pre-order your book? I am from Johannesburg, South Africa. Thank you. Love and kisses to Dozer😊

Try the Bookdepository online shop
Broze says
Hi, Nagi
Is there a digital version of your cookbook? If not, I assume it is now available in Canadian stores?
Thank you for the free dowloaded recipes, I just want to make them all. Thanks, A

Excited about the cookbook!

Sad in uk – no book no freebie 😢 Seeing comments “I tried xxxx amazing” agggghhhh torture!! 🤣
Looking forward to our go! 🤞
SaraB says
Aggghhh tried to reply to own comment after reading comments lower down – hasn’t shown up (or I could be on my own mega thread)! No criticism intended at all Nagi, great to be so excited about a cookbook! 😀
Sarab says
Sorry! No criticism at all intended from my comment – but just read comments below about timing etc and thought it might be seen as a criticism! Only ever meant as “keen as mustard” to get my hands on a copy 👍 Brilliant work Nagi 😀
Maggie says
You should be flattered that everyone is clamoring for more of your recipes! But I am going to add my vote too, that I think this exclusive mini recipe book for US/Canada is so unfair. We feel like we are being punished/discriminated against for living in AU or NZ. The US & Canadians that have preordered your book would have done so knowing it was many months out – nobody forced them to buy it. And I am 100% sure they would buy your beautiful book without the “carrot” of exclusive recipes. Please re think this decision. It is really hurtful. We all love you Nagi and that’s why your book is an off the charts top seller!
Sarah says
I’m an American who pre-ordered and waiting patiently. Please give the recipes to the Australians, too. It’s not fair to only give them to us 🙂
Gill says
Hi Nagi,
I’ve pre-ordered your cookbook in the UK. Will we be receiving a gift too?

Joyce says
Thank you so much for the bonus recipes! They all look delicious and can’t wait to try them.
FYI, I, personally, understand the wait, and appreciate your gift to us!
Mari says
Nagi I’m fine that you’re offering the bonus.. just tell us, will we be able to have the recipes “one day” on your website?! And THANKS again for the recipe book, I’ve already had one feast using 3 recipes 😋
Mary says
Nagi, I left a comment that I pre ordered my book but there was no order number. I went to the page to put in my information and where it asked for the order number I typed in that the book was preordered on October 12, 2022, and it told me congratulations and the bonus was available. If anyone else has the same problem just put in the pre order date and see if that works for you like it did for me. Thank you for the additional recipes, Nagi, and as always you have outdone yourself. ❤️❤️
Caroline Charles says
This is so kind! I’m in the UK and it feels like we’ve been waiting forever (I want to try the shaking beef!)
What a lovely way to make the wait worth it. Thank you!!
Xx
Lily says
As an Australian this message is bittersweet.
It is wonderful you have the compassion to compensate for a “delay” when many wouldn’t. It really is a testament to your character.
But also…
How many times have non-North American countries had to put up with delays? With shipments, movie releases, etc.?
How many times have there been “world tours” featuring the USA and Canada – or even worse – just the USA?, and everyone else misses out entirely?
It’s so frequent for us that it’s just the norm for us! Americans can’t wait just once?
“Patience is a virtue”
PS. I think you should emphasise that all readers will eventually have access to these bonus recipes. It’s not very clear (if present at all) in your post.
Nita says
I lived in Canada and have already pre- ordered the cook book .
Please confirm if I have to request the free digital gift ?Thank you and looking forward to receiving your cookbook !
