Talk to me! Tell me what you want.

Dozer v

It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?

And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!

The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.

The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.

Thus, I turn to you to ask –

Tell me what you want for 2021!

Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:

  • More greens, less meat

  • More fish!

  • Work lunch ideas

  • More Dozer (🤞🏼!)

  • Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb

  • Freezer friendly recipes

  • Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)

  • Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort

I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.

So, talk to me!! – Nagi x

PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!

PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –

🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢

I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.

And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)

And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰

Hi Nagi, this is hilarious! Bizarrely, bananas led me here. My youngest son has also been traumatised by bananas lolz because his dad made him eat one every morning! My eldest son requested a banoffee turnover (he’s been buying from Coles!) and naturally, I turned to you. So funny. aagh to whom will I turn? ‘no bananas’. love it.

    Hey Nagi
I’d really love some more lunchbox ideas, and if they could be make ahead for the week that would be fab.
Keep up the amazing work! Love your cookbook too.

PS. Maybe your mum could do a banana bread recipe as it’s her fault?! 😀 Call it NO banana bread and then we can just sneakily sub them in?

I was searching for a banana bread recipe and was surprised you didn’t have one, I googled recipetin eats banana bread and it led me to this page. Love all your recipes and think that your banana bread would top all others, but then I see you hate Bananas 😂 oh well, will have to make do!

On another note, you are my go-to for any recipe, so thank you!

Also, I’m not sure if I can’t find it, but is there a function on your website where the phone stays open in recipe mode, if not that would be great! Lots of love!

    Hi Nagi,
Wonder if it’s possible to add the quantity of fresh herbs when there is dried in recipes pls – I grow a lot of my own and I’m never quite sure how much to add. Thank you!

Goodness! How to thank you… my whole family loves your recipes. We’re yet to find one we don’t like. I take a meal to a gathering or friends come over, and I’m sending links for your recipes. I bought your ‘Dinner’ book for myself for Christmas, and also one for my daughter. It’s beautiful, and so well put together.
I meet others who love your site, and it’s like greeting old friends. We fan girl for awhile and share our favorite recipes. (mine is currently Baked Fish with Lemon Cream Sauce, if there is an easier, more delicious recipe in all the world I’m yet to find it… and I’m always looking… 😄) I’ve had a good think about what I would like you to cover on your website, and I’m sure there are many things, but usually after I search I find you have already covered it. So, I’m just really glad you followed your passions and set up this website. You are a really, really great cook, but you understand life too, and
know that as wonderful it is to cook fancy delicious meals, we also have families and time constraints. I appreciate that your recipes are sensible as well as delicious, so thank you, and just keep doing what you have been doing so far. You’re on a winning formula! 😊

Hi Nagi, I made https://www.recipetineats.com/creamy-avocado-ranch-pasta-salad/ last night. Quite delicious and refreshing.
But…. it definitely has not stayed green today as you suggested it would. It tastes fine but looks brown and disgusting. Is there a secret trick??
Suggestion 1 … I would love to be able to organise your recipes I have saved. There does not appear to be any categories.

Suggestion 2…. Love your recipe book. In future prints maybe a few ribbons for book marks could be added so I can mark my favourites. Also makes book seem more special.

Having fun with your recipes… thanks heaps.

    Xx

Sorry Claire, but Nagi has made it very clear that there’ll be no banana recipes coming from her – ever! She’s been scarred by her childhood experiences with them unfortunately.😂
