It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?
And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!
The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.
The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.
Thus, I turn to you to ask –
Tell me what you want for 2021!
Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:
More greens, less meat
More fish!
Work lunch ideas
More Dozer (🤞🏼!)
Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb
Freezer friendly recipes
Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)
Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort
I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.
So, talk to me!! – Nagi x
PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!
PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –
🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢
I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.
And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)
Life of Dozer
Launching into 2021, Dozer style:
And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰

More work lunch ideas would be perfect, particularly on the healthy side and still delicious enough to make coworkers jealous if offices ever become a thing again. Otherwise, freezer friendly and the feasts would be fun. But I would also just love more of whatever is in your brain – you’re the only food blog I’ve never had a recipe I didn’t enjoy or go randomly wrong.

ahhhhh Nagi, our thoughts go out to you and Dozer, just as you’ve given so much to us in Melbourne – you’ve been such a great boost over the past few months. All I can say is just keep being you, and we’re there with you all the way!

Hey Nagi! Love your food, love Dozer. Iโd appreciate more vegetarian, because Iโd like to reduce the endless consumption of mince for family meals. And I always love slow cooker, especially if itโs a little more inspired than just another casserole. Thanks!

I love to entertain and would be eternally grateful for menu’s that have plenty of tips on how to prepare as much in advance as possible. I hate the stress of last minute cooking and having to leave my guests when all I want to do is enjoy time with them.

Hi Nagi,
I love your work and done several of your dishes. You may already have posted this and Iโve missed it, but I would like to know your top 5 or 10, under 30 minutes receipts. Thanks and say hi to Dozer from me ๐

More Dozer!! ๐ Iโd love to see some work lunch ideas (something that can be batch made but repurposed in different ways throughout the week??), spicy chicken dishes, and anything with noddles!!
Courtney Salter says
I have huge trouble cooking chicken breast (plain) in the oven for meal-prep. Any tips would be great, or any other make-ahead and freeze recipes would be fantastic!

There are times that nothing will speed things enough for a busy lifestyle……like the pressure cooker
SO…pressure cooker recipes?
Nicky says
I love your blog so much!
I would love more recipes with allergy alternatives – ie I have a son with egg & Dairy allergies so recipes that can be easily adapted would be great.
Another fun idea would be a ‘remake’ of recipes from the 70’s & 80’s.
Whatever you do – I just love your work!

Firstly happy new year to you and your fur baby!! Followed by a big THANK YOU!! Your recipes brought together a marriage under stress due to the joys of Melbourne lockdown!
I would love to see more keto and low carb recipes. Struggled with my weight for years and insulin resistance has made it near impossible to lose weight. Keto and low carb are what I need to be doing so tasty recipes will help that journey!
Looove your recipes and no bad ones yet! Love the chicken shwarma and fish tacos!
Sharon Perdriau says
more one pan oven baked dishes
more at most 7 ingredients dishes
more fish (not expensive) recipes

I would love to see more super quick week night meals, the type to feed a family with very little time ๐

Ha! Definitely more Dozer. Apart from that, nothing. Whatever takes your fancy. And thanks for all that you do! I treasure your site and know that I can always trust your recipes. Hugely appreciated.

More vegetarian dishes please Nagi. Thank you!!!!

Would love weeknight-friendly meals. I’ve made some of your more elaborate recipes and they are AMAZING, but I want something for when you walk in the door at 6 and have 15 mins before you turn into a hangry monster. ๐น
Also high-protein vegetarian meals would be great!
Olivia says
Hi Nagi! Love your blog.
Would really love more vegetarian meals, particularly ones featuring tofu in asian dishes.
Also more meal prep recipes, particularly focusing on how you can maximise a grocery shop to get two great lunch options for two people to last a whole week.
Karla says
Hi Nagi,
Really loving your recipes…thank you!๐
I wanted to ask…am I able to substitute Mandarin for the Oranges in your beautiful Gluten Free Orange Cake?
Thanks again!
Anna says
Hi Nagi, I would love to learn how to make condiments. Such as jams, pickles, chutneys etc. They can make a meal so much more tasty. Also its a good way to use up produce when they are in abundance. I love all your recipes. Thankyou

I wish my Asian cooking was more flavourful (sauces) . Even following your your recipes which I like , it just doesn’t work for me. I’ll never master but it is more about being really tasty .
