It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?
And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!
The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.
The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.
Thus, I turn to you to ask –
Tell me what you want for 2021!
Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:
More greens, less meat
More fish!
Work lunch ideas
More Dozer (🤞🏼!)
Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb
Freezer friendly recipes
Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)
Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort
I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.
So, talk to me!! – Nagi x
PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!
PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –
🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢
I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.
And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)
Life of Dozer
Launching into 2021, Dozer style:
And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰

Hi Nagi, love your food so much! Since recently going vegetarian/vegan I’m finding less opportunities to make use of your delicious recipes. My ask would thus be for more plant based meals if possible!
Thanks

I would love to see a selection of meals for two. it’s often hard to use the slide scale to make recipes smaller as weird measurements come up eg 1/4 of an egg or .38 cup of flour
Nicole says
Hi Nagi, Can you give us some low cal breakfasts and lunches? And more Dozer! Your recipes are amazing!
Lisa says
I love your recipes!! I would love some “to go” lunch ideas…hopefully, we will be able “to go” again soon. Low carb recipes and weekly meal prep would be great as well. Many thanks to you and Dozer!

Hi Nagi
I love most of your recipes and have tried lots. I would love you to do a full fortnight menu plan like you did for COVID but with all the lovely fresh foods we can now easily buy.
Thanks for all your amazing work makes me feel like a good cook

Ooohhhh this!!!

I would love to see more fish dishes, for example Thai style crab cakes. I would love more vegetarian dishes too 🙂
Leah says
Definitely freezer friendly ideas, slow cooker/ pressure cooker recipes and more side dishes. Also maybe ideas for what to do with the fruit and veggies that most of us walk past in the shop cause we have no idea what to do with them 😅
Sarah says
Love all your dishes. Can you please give us some quick suppers without turning the oven on. It’s just too hot!!!!!
Jen says
Would love to try a modern version of a pate-less terrine with aspic and stuffed cabbage rolls ! Also, Champagne Chicken (used to have a Supercook recipe but lost). Love your site – always makes me feel better after reading your emails !

Nagi, I love everything you do and never delete any of them. After eating big during this festive time I’d love to see more low carb healthy recipes too.

I would like you to help us by making “foreign” recipes more accessible: my daughter likes RecipeTinJapan, but some of the ingredients and methods are unknown and (for me) difficult. I love it when you give an easier version of a recipe (Malaysian Chicken Satay Curry)

Hi Nagi, love your recipes and and what you do. I would like to request for more recipes that are vegetarian based. More greens, less meat. Thank you and a blessed year ahead!
Lisa says
Macarons please! I have tried a few recipes and failed. If anyone can lead me to culinary success it’s you Nagi!
Nagi says
I’ve been working on them! I’m just tying up some loose ends to make them foolproof 🙂 They aren’t that hard if you know all the “gold tips”! N x
Kim Gentle says
Yes! Yes! Macaroons!

Hi Nagi
I know this may be a big ask given that you have international readers, but I would love to see an approximate per head cost on your main courses. I cook for my children/grandchildren weekly – two dinner meals for eight – and often have to calculate whether my budget runs to a particular recipe.
Anne says
Hi Nagi! I love your recipes! I’d love some help with finding recipes that suit my friends with their various dietary needs. Finding mains and desserts that suit people who need both gluten free and dairy free is quite tricky. For myself I’d love more vegetarian recipes. Thanks! 😀
Anne M Redburn says
Hi, I make a lot of the meals from your index, but I would love to see more vege based meals *(ie less meat, more sauce). Trying to cut out as much fat as possible, and be lean and mean.
Maria says
Please do more Thai recipes for dummies like me. Love the food, have no idea where to begin. Your recipes are awesome!! As are you. Keep going girl!!

Hi Nagi,
I’m a huge fan of your recipes and love your Dozer updates too.
I’d be happy with more of the same amazing recipes! But work lunch ideas and complete menus would be great. I would also love to see your take on apple pie.
I’m making your kebabs and yum yum sauce tonight.

I love learning more about the ‘rules’ of cooking, like not beating batters too much once flour added.
I would love a top 50 rules that I should know (top 10 would do if 50 crazy silly) 🙂

Hi Nagi . I would love to see more vegetarian recipes. Cheers. Eric
