It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?
And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!
The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.
The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.
Thus, I turn to you to ask –
Tell me what you want for 2021!
Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:
More greens, less meat
More fish!
Work lunch ideas
More Dozer (🤞🏼!)
Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb
Freezer friendly recipes
Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)
Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort
I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.
So, talk to me!! – Nagi x
PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!
PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –
🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢
I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.
And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)
Life of Dozer
Launching into 2021, Dozer style:
And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰

Hi Nagi,
I always get excited when I see your emails in my in-box. Thank you for all you do and your lovely approach to cooking and sharing your recipes, which of course includes the very gorgeous Dozer. I particularly appreciated your support and kindness during Melbourne’s eternally long lockdown.
Would love some awesome speedy salad dressings that can transform average healthy meals into something that tastes amazing! This year I’m really trying to up the amount of plant based meals I eat, so totally up for recipes which manage to pull this off quickly and easily.
Hope your 2021 is a great one!

Hi, I’m in Scotland and its winter, home school is starting today so we would love some more slow cooker recipes especially chicken. It will mean we can be organised for meals during this tough time and still have a hearty meal! P.s. I love your recipes. Can you have a slow cooker category on your menu, so it’s easy to find those recipes which are slow cooker compatible?.

Hi, Nagi! I’m glad you’re okay. I thought you might have been ill. Happy New Year! I would love more chicken recipes, preferably without any ingredients that drive up the sodium level of the recipe. We eat a lot of chicken in this house!

Hi Nagi,
I would love more vegetarian meals for the whole family. My family of 5 are trying to cut down on meat and ideally we’d like to cook 3-4 nights a week vegetarian. At the moment I’m struggling to come up with new ideas. Thanks!
PS Your veggie burgers are a major hit in our household. My carnivore son loves them so much that he prefers them to meat burgers!

Hi Emma, try BBC GOOD FOOD website. Its here in the UK bit I think it has a lot of veggie recipes. Also try Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall website and veggie, books meantime until Nagi does hers. His recipes are good. X

Love your recipes Nagi, they feature heavily in our weekly meals. Would love some more fish recipes and vegetarian recipes that are suitable for those of us needing to watch cholesterol levels. Thank you.

Hi,
I would love to see more low calorie recipes. My husband and I are following the 5/2 diet, but I find that so many low calorie recipes either have minuscule portions or don’t have much flavour. I like to have a plate that looks full (even if it’s full of low calorie green veges) because if the portion looks normal sized and tastes good , my brain seems to believe that I have eaten a normal meal and I don’t feel hungry.
