It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?
And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!
The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.
The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.
Thus, I turn to you to ask –
Tell me what you want for 2021!
Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:
More greens, less meat
More fish!
Work lunch ideas
More Dozer (🤞🏼!)
Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb
Freezer friendly recipes
Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)
Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort
I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.
So, talk to me!! – Nagi x
PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!
PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –
🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢
I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.
And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)
Life of Dozer
Launching into 2021, Dozer style:
And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰

I am an 85 year old great Nannie still eager to learn. I made your spaghetti bog a few days ago when grandkids were visiting me. I have used the same recipe for 64 years from a book I bought on our honeymoon but in future I will only be using yours. I put the extras in, cooked it in the slow cooker and it was superb. That is the kind of recipe I like. Economical, slow cooker ones with extras to make it the best. Joan xxx

I’d love some more complete meal one-pot wonders which are kid friendly. I have a 2 & 3 year old and we struggle with ideas for meals which contain carbs, veggies (bonus for hidden) and protein.

Love your site! Keep up the great content and your very Israel explanations, tips and tricks.
I love sweets/desserts so I’d be keen on seeing more of those. Also, maybe some recipes that are quick and/or use only a handful or less of ingredients.
Missy says
Okay, I’m not sure why my phone autocorrected ‘easy’ to ‘Israel’. 🤦🏽♀️

Can I put a vote in for budget and family friendly meals…slow cooker and one pot are always the easiest for me!
Thanks Nagi!

Hi Nagi
Always on the lookout for really flavoursome but very healthy recipes. And more vegetarian recipes. I find your instructions and notes very good. And like everyone I love Dozer.
Here’s hoping for an improving 2021.

Hi Nagi,
I hope you and Dozer had a great Christmas and break. My partner Sam and I love your recipes however we would like to see more wholesome, healthy vegetarian recipes.
Thank you kindly!

Hi Nagi, pls can you help create recipes which mean we buy food with no plastic packaging or the tiniest amount possible. I think it is really difficult to do this & I hate putting food packaging waste in my bin. I try to recycle as much as possible but there still seems to be too much plastic which has to go in my housewold waste bin (trash can). I am in the UK and I know this is different for people in other parts of the world. But maybe someone like you could make a difference. I do not want to be a vegan, I like meat too much. I hope my suggestion is useful, best wishes, Emma

Hi Nagi. I totally love your site. What is on top of my mind is less meat and more wholeness. Lately I have been focusing on food waste, f.ex. stretching 1 chicken and making it into 3 different dinners (for 4). 1/2 kg. minced meet into 2 dinners etc. Would love to see some new combo ideas 🙂 And happy new year!!!

Hi Nagi! We love your Chicken breast in Creamy mushrooms sauce. I want more easy to cook chicken breast recipes like this one butbwith great taste!
Beef stroganoff didn’t quite make the cut. I think it’s the sour cream recipe here in the Philippines.
Adapt the recipes for Asian ingredients availability but with western influence.
Fusion recipe.
I’m a fan of your easy to do recipes!

Hi Nagi!
My partner and I cook your recipes exclusively because we can always trust them to be delicious (and super easy to follow), so thank you!!
I would really love some breakfast ideas… I LOVE bread but I have way too much of it, and am unfortunately fussy with the texture of egg which cuts out a bunch of basic breakfast dishes (trying to get better…). I’m not sure what options are out there that would be a nice alternative.
We’re on a pretty tight budget as students, so it would be cool to see some cheap (but your regular amount of tasty) student dinners. Or perhaps some kind of rating system to let us know which recipes are more expensive so I can filter those out before I’m tempted.
Our New Years resolution is to add at least one vegetarian/vegan meal into our weekly meal plan to ease in to a diet that has a little less meat in it, so I definitely support a few more meat free recipes as well!
Thank you again, we love cooking your recipes!

I would love you to post some Keto recipes. Maybe a keto alternative to your normal recipes if possible.

Hi Nagi!
Would LOVE some meal prep/make ahead ideas for work lunches.. I find it the hardest meal of the day. Also agree with the slow cooker recipes and not necessarily just soups/stews, perhaps some other things as I’m sure you could be far more creative with the slow cooker than me 😂
Thanks for doing such an amazing job. My #1 food blog hands down!! 😊

Some work lunch ideas that are fast to make the night before and last overnight (or a few nights!) in the fridge.
Also some more categories for special diets- vegan as well as vegetarian (or even substitutes in some of the meat recipes to make it vegetarian), dairy free recipes.
Maybe some more videos of Dozer!

More Japanese food and recipes, videos of your mums recipes, but also on your website.
would love to see mel prep tips, plans and recipes…
Especially bento boxes! Let’s bring back fun, delicious and healthy balanced meals prepped ahead
Last but not least, more vegetarian and tofu recipes please

Hi Nagi,
Happy New Year to you, your mum and all your family!
I have quite few vegan friends. Would love some simple fast vegan recipes for casual entertainment.
And more Dozer, of course!

Hearty salads for those of us trying to keep food yummy and satisfying but low-cal too!
Thanks 🙂

Hi Nagi
I love the tips and comments! It’s not TMI for me. Like Nigella, you provide explanations and options so that I’ve got flexibility to adjust a recipe. More easy Asian recipes please! More plant-based/vegan recipes too (got a vegan child). If there were an ad-free-pay-for-the-service option, I would definitely consider that. Thank you for making the task of catering for a family easier and much much more delicious.

Hi Nagi,
What knives do you use and how do you sharpen them ?

Hi Nagi, A nut roast that is reasonably easy and doesn’t contain a thousand obscure ingredients would be great! Fish dishes also. Anything veggie. Thanks for being there ! Jan xxx

Hmm! That’s an interesting one. It sounds like a challenge. I like challenges! 🙂 Just got added to my list – N x

I love my slow cooker, so more recipes for that would be great, savoury and sweet. Thanks. HappyNew Year to you and Dozer.
