It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?
And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!
The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.
The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.
Thus, I turn to you to ask –
Tell me what you want for 2021!
Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:
More greens, less meat
More fish!
Work lunch ideas
More Dozer (🤞🏼!)
Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb
Freezer friendly recipes
Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)
Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort
I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.
So, talk to me!! – Nagi x
PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!
PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –
🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢
I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.
And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)
Life of Dozer
Launching into 2021, Dozer style:
And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰

More vegetable and vegetarian dishes, one-pot, freezer, slow cooker recipes, creative yet easy recipes. No more sugary, fatty, cheezy, salt laden recipes, they’re abundantly available already from international sites, we need you to be different and appeal to our Australian audience.

Hi Nagi, I’m an absolute fan. I’ve grown up in an Italian household where cooking is in our DNA from birth And your recipes are up there with the best (my grandmother would be proud). So given there’s a few months left of summer and it’s now beautiful weather here in sydney, the BBQ is my go to. So I’m going to ask for interesting international menu dishes – Eg: Lebanese kebabs with toubouli. But what entree/nibbles go with this? And what dessert. Just a thought from me. Take care

Hi Nagi. I loved your Arabian feast so would love more Middle Eastern/Mediterranean dinner party menus. Also lunch salads. Also, because I’m doing it at the moment, Keto recipes. Thanks

Hi Nagi, love your work, would love to see more low carb recipes and special occasion set meal plans, perhaps even more details about your life eg. recipe development/restaurant reviews/cookbook recommendations more frequently/lifestyle, your backstory? I’m one of the few not interested in Dozers antics..cheers Kylie

Happy New Year Nagi. I hope it’s your best one ever. My recipe request will perhaps seem an odd one but gosh it would be wonderful if you could do. I live on my own and would love if you could do recipes with amounts for 1 person. No leftovers for tomorrow, nothing for the fridge or freezer! I imagine this request perhaps seems odd to you/to many. You’re thinking you can just divide the recipes and yes of course that’s what I do when I don’t want extras. But, but, second ‘but’ intended😂, I would just love any and all recipes, starter main or dessert, whatever, for one person. I don’t eat beef but if you were ever to consider my request, please include for those that do. I also have a thought! How absolutely special it would be if you might consider doing once a week! Cheeky, yes but you did ask, bet you’re sorry now! Stay safe and well and thank you. Mary
Nagi says
I’m not sorry for asking!! I’m thinking what I could do is a post rounding up my top X recipes for one 🙂 How does that sound? I can already instantly think of 8 recipes, right off the top of my head, that are actually BEST made for one! N x
Mary from Dublin says
Oh my goodness Nagi, you certainly are wonderful. I am so happy that you have replied. I absolutely love your suggestion and am floored that you immediately have 8 recipes in mind. I am trying to imagine a single recipe of mine that is best made for one. I can’t! You’re amazing and thank you so much for your much appreciated response. I can’t wait. I also have to say that it won’t stop me using some of your other very special recipes for both fridge and freezer and for when covid takes a hike and we are allowed entertain again🎉! Thank you and do take care. Mary

Hi Nagi, have a happy break.
The thing I long for most is clarity in your recipes. I find the recipes quite simple however it’s when you include tips & notes it all becomes So confusing. I’ve spoken to two other friends I’ve shared your emails with and they agree. Too much information!
Katie says
You can just click on the ‘recipe’ button at the top and it takes you straight to the recipe, and also only read the tips/notes if you need them.
Kara says
Oh no, I disagree, I love all of the information/notes!! I’ve made my best meals following Nagi’s recipes, the notes etc really help me!!
Liz Richardson says
I would love more slow cooker recipes especially for cakes and desserts. Really anything slow cooker. Ans where to get accessories. Love your work.

Also do you make a good hum bow- pork bun? I would love a recipe for that.
Have a fantastic year.
