It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?
And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!
The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.
The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.
Thus, I turn to you to ask –
Tell me what you want for 2021!
Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:
More greens, less meat
More fish!
Work lunch ideas
More Dozer (🤞🏼!)
Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb
Freezer friendly recipes
Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)
Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort
I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.
So, talk to me!! – Nagi x
PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!
PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –
🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢
I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.
And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)
Life of Dozer
Launching into 2021, Dozer style:
And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰

Hi Nagi.
Low carb recipes would be great and especially low carb breakfasts. ( something as a change from eggs or different way to do eggs that’s not too fussy)
I would love a low carb pancake recipe that could be used in many ways.
Low sugar recipes would also be beaut.
HNY.

Just a huge thank you for all your wonderful recipes. I only use your recipes because I can honestly say I have never had a bad one and my cooking has improved so much
More vegetarian recipes would be good
Meteorite says
I would love more vegetarian, Mediterranean, middle eastern and slow cooker recipes. Thank you for your good humour and compassion this year.

Would love some recipes without too much fatty food
e.g less sugar, butter, full cream milk. I love your recipes but my husband has had bypass surgery so have to watch what he eats. P.s. more pictures of dozer haha

Hi Nagi and Dozer! I love your recipes and how easily you make them! Please could you add some more asian recipes perhaps the Singaporean crab? I would also love some more Mediterranean meals!

Hi Nagi
Love your recipes and love all the updates on Dozer. I’m in England, UK. Under strict lockdown right now. It’s very cold so I would like some slow cooker or casserole ideas for lam, my favourite meat please. Thank you. Stay safe, take care. X

Dear Nagi! I love your blog and your recipes – I’d love to see lighter dishes that are packed with flavour – more salad, lentils, less meat and potato. Lockdown turned me into a gourmand chef and my waist and butt are suffering! My dogs, Boo, a Lurcher and Benny, a black lab, would love a play date with Dozer ❤️

Hi Nagi, love your recipes! I’ve gone vegan this year and would love to see some vegan recipes. Like, how do I make mayonnaise without eggs? And what can I use instead of eggs to bind my vege burgers? And I want to learn how to cook with indigenous ingredients.
Thanks

Hi Nagi,
happy new year from Amsterdam! I would be obliged if you would post some BBQ recipes in the new year. Oh, and a recipe for Tom Kah Kai soup (Thai chicken coconut soup).
All the best,
Onno

I would love to see full meals from start to finish. App, main, dessert, etc. My family likes to have theme nights. ex: we had a Mexican night and then watched the family movie Coco. It just makes for a fun Saturday night

Nagi love your site, your recipes (every one of them works and no ridiculous list of ingredients I’ve never heard of) so Thankyou for all you do. I know you’re into enjoying food but I’ve got 10kg of Covid and Christmas indulgence to lose so I’d like to see some low calorie meals – anything up to 400 calories per serving would be great. Thanks again. Have a great 2021. Cheers Deanne

The perfect recipe for a banana peanut butter sandwich. Lol. I’m so funny I crack myself up. Since you’ve made clear your feelings on bananas, I would instead love to see some “food boards” put together. As an example, if the theme is Italian, what sort of cheeses, meats, nuts, fruits, condiments et al would you include? In what amounts? On what kind of board? Or perhaps you prefer dishes. I would love some ideas from you on this subject for entertaining. And hey, thanks for asking for ideas!

Hi Nagi
Love your recipes! I would love a recipe for orange chicken and / or lemon chicken
Nagi says
I am SO glad you asked that – because they are both on my list! 😂 N x

You are the first site to consult when working my weekly menus. Without exception your recipes work. I would like to see some budget planning. So that people can work towards an estimate of their weekly spend on dinners and look at options on the basis of how much they want to spend.

Hi Nagi, happy new year to you and Dozer!!! You have certainly made a massive impact on our love of food and cooking so thank you for the wonderful dishes we’ve been able to put together and so easy to follow. Would love to see some more sandwich options (like Philly Cheesesteak), broccoli & cauliflower gratin, smoothies, and trying to ‘love salads’ as a main but they have to be incredible and hubby requests beef and black bean x
Nicki says
Happy new year Nagi! My family love your recipes – we would love to see more meat free meals and make ahead lunches please.

I always love your posts and I love some of your suggestions today for 2021 – more greens (and perhaps tasty wholegrain ingredients) would be great, more of your sensational salads (though you may be sick of those), freezer-friendly would be helpful, as would work lunch ideas and slow-cooker recipes. How about more prep-ahead and one-pot wonders? (Though you already have some brilliant ones) – and we can never have too much of Dozer! Sorry, that’s a long list! Oh, and I love the idea of more complete themed menus. Looking forward to whatever you serve up!

Hi Nagi, I was only thinking today I would love Nagi to do some easy picnic recipes. Something that tastes nice eaten cold with lots of flavour, that can be prepared in advance and transported in an esky. I love your recipes and have made lots of them. Best wishes for 2021 and keep the delicious recipes coming.
