Talk to me! Tell me what you want.

Dozer v

It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?

And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!

The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.

The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.

Thus, I turn to you to ask –

Tell me what you want for 2021!

Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:

  • More greens, less meat
  • More fish!
  • Work lunch ideas
  • More Dozer (🤞🏼!)
  • Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb
  • Freezer friendly recipes
  • Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)
  • Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort

I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.

So, talk to me!! – Nagi x

PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!

PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –

🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢

I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.

And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)

And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰

Ideas you ask for – what about some herb/spice mixes? Every time I like a store bought herb/spice mix, they stop making it. I would like to make my own, ie, for steak or fish and with no added preservatives or too much salt. Thanks. Love your recipes.

A filter on meals great for bulk cook up/freezer/family

I love the ‘quick and easy’ filter – would be great to also have a filter on ‘how are you feeling’ eg healthy/veggies or ‘binge’ – agree with others here, post lock down it would be great to be able to navigate to healthy options easier please!

I think it would be great to showcase dishes suitable for diabetics. It’s frustrating to filter through google and most results are low carb/low cal, but not necessarily suitable for that dietary requirement. It definitely requires some creative solutions since you need to avoid common ingredients.

More vegetarian recipes would be welcome (kind of inspired by the fridge leftovers you covered a while back). Maybe some Vietnamese dishes? North African dishes would be nice too – lots of delicious food from that region. 🙂

I want sinful food, not healthy food. Ok well every so often something healthy but I also want the bad stuff. Deep fried, greasy, sweet and sticky, you get the idea. I also want some Air Fryer recipes and Asian recipes with broccoli. I love broccoli as long as it is not boiled. Thanks for asking.

re your request for Ideas for this year.
Right now there is an abundant of fresh fruits, Peach , Apricot and Nectarine. Do you have a pie or flan for this type of summer fruits. make a nice lunch with Chardonnay at this time of year.

Hi Nagi you are such an inspiration! I first found your blog when I was living in England (now I am back on Oz) but what I love most is your recipes work no matter where you are in the world.

I have made so many of your wonderful recipes and really like reading other peoples comments. I would love to hear feedback on what are people’s favourite Nagi recipes are, maybe in different categories!

I would also love some more complete menus. For the New Year we had a Mexican Fiesta based on your recipes and I got rave reviews and asked for the recipes!

Now this may be a bit over the top and may largely be because we have just been to the Hunter Valley Wineries but for some of the special menus/ meals it would be great to know what wine to pair them with! I know that is probably a whole new blog but so many of your recipes such as your Massaman Curry are restaurant quality!

I think I have made most of your slow cooker recipes so more of those would be great too.

Thanks again for all your hard work and I always look forward to receiving your emails. 💕

Dicovering your website was really serendipitous Nagi😊 My sister and I have made to thunderous applause many of your delicious recipes. Importantly you are thorough in providing answers/info and tips on every recipe – brilliant, well done! Plant based dishes low fat and cal to help me shed some of the lockdown pounds that have piled on would be appreciated. Love from South Africa to you and adorable Dozer x

Your website has changed my life. I have been surfing the web since 1998. This is hands down the best blog ever created in every way. I have been having fun trying to think of a recipe to suggest that is not already published. How many recipes are on your site?!? And all look so good, having trouble choosing what to make next. The only thing I can come up with is chicken, vegetable, beef and fish/seafood stock – especially beef and seafood, it’s hard to find good in the grocery store. I’ve read enough of your blog to know you usually use powder/boxed stock but I would love to know your take on making stock/broth. Keep up the good work! It is appreciated all over the world.
