It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?
And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!
The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.
The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.
Thus, I turn to you to ask –
Tell me what you want for 2021!
Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:
More greens, less meat
More fish!
Work lunch ideas
More Dozer (🤞🏼!)
Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb
Freezer friendly recipes
Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)
Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort
I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.
So, talk to me!! – Nagi x
PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!
PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –
🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢
I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.
And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)
Life of Dozer
Launching into 2021, Dozer style:
And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰

More budget recipes! Thinking along the lines of the old Curtis Stone feed your family for under $10 campaign.
With Covid-19 and lots of job losses, lots of us are more budget conscious than ever.
Perhaps recipes with a basic budget version and then an added “upgrade your meal for an extra $x” to appeal to different reader groups.

Hi Nagi,
Love your site. Love your recipes. Love your sense of humour. Love Dozer’s antics. More slow cooker recipes please. And vegetarian recipes too, have I have to get on the meatless once a week bandwagon.

Hi,
For me, as I am gluten and nut intolerant it would be great to see recipes that include those things also make mention of possible substitutes. It would also be great to see more ‘set and forget’ slow cooker recipes, the type that can just be dumped in the slow cooker without prep in the morning and is ready 8-10hrs later after the work day is done.
Really love your website and I’m sure whatever direction you take with future recipes will be well received by your followers.

I’d like to see in 2021 a dinner meal and with a little ‘spark’ the leftovers are reinvented into a different lunch meal for the next day.
Nagi says
Ooh I like this one! I did a few of them in my early days and they didn’t really get much interest so I abandoned them. Might be time to revive them! N x

Great idea Nagi.
Personally now I’m at home more during the day due to lockdown, I’d love to have some healthy lunch recipes. Maybe dishes you could make ahead that would last a couple of days and get your veggie intake up.
I love your recipes, and my cooking has improved so much since I found your website,
Thanks for being there Nagi

Hi Nagi , I adore your posts love seeing Dozer and what he gets up to. I would love to see more Recipes just for one or two. I am a widow and live alone with no family. I am put off recipes geared towards families of four or six. It can be a bit tricky scaling them down to one , and bulk freezing doesn’t appeal when you have a small freezer.
I have taken up weight lifting so love high protein dishes and low carb as it’s good for building muscle which is important for older woman. I look forward to your updates and recipes. I live in Scotland and sometimes forget to change the weight so have had a few mishaps . All the very best to you and Dozer for 2021

Thanks for asking, Nagi! It’s hard to narrow down my priorities for you when I’m simultaneously looking for meals that are quick, easy, healthy, delicious, cheap, appealing to my kids, and that make good leftovers. But if I had to name a few things, I would love to see your ideas about strategically using some ready made supermarket foods to whip up a great meal (preferably not always a roast chook). And I’d love a fall-back method for making a great soup, or a great salad in summer, out of whatever’s lying around.

Happy new year Nagi!!🥰🥰
I’d love to see more dessert recipes, Lotus biscoff recipes, loaf cakes, etc. Also I’d love if you can post sushi recipes and video recipes🥰

Hi Angi,
I LOVE your blog. One of my favorite recipes was the pasta bake base, less because of the specific dish and more because I LOVE base recipes that can be so completely adapted to tastes, dietary preferences, product availability, etc. I’d love to see more of those this year.
And to be greedy and name one more thing, more vegetarian or easily adapted dishes would be amazing too.

Hi Nagi, how about some slow cooker desserts for Winter? Or a good (real) Carbonara!
