It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?
And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!
The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.
The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.
Thus, I turn to you to ask –
Tell me what you want for 2021!
Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:
More greens, less meat
More fish!
Work lunch ideas
More Dozer (🤞🏼!)
Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb
Freezer friendly recipes
Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)
Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort
I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.
So, talk to me!! – Nagi x
PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!
PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –
🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢
I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.
And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)
Life of Dozer
Launching into 2021, Dozer style:
And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰

Absolutely love your site, it has been a godsend over 2020 (and now 2021) There is a recipe I have been after for years. It first appeared in Womens weekly or family circle in the 90s. It was a Frozen Chocolate Chesecake. It was a combo of vanilla icecream, cream cheese some egg and chocolate concoction over a choc biscuit base. Was the best, but have never been able to find ir nor reproduce it properly.

What is this you speak of?? It sounds magical! That just got added to my list. Sounds like a semi Bavarian type cake?? I see Sara Lee – but homemade! N x

Hi Nagi, I love your recipes. I love the way you present them and that one can change the quantities easily and your notes are always very helpful. As the lovely loving owner of two beautiful labradors now gone to doggy heaven I love hearing about and seeing photos of dozer. I would like to see more slow cooker recipes, more low calorie diet recipes and what to do with leftovers, the ham ones look great

Hi Nagi
I would love any recipes that don’t have more than 5-6 ingredients please. My enthusiasm and expertise wanes after that. Love your site and of course Dozer

Love love your recipes! They’re so consistently good!
We’re trying to go for more veggie meals this year and less meat so that’d be great thanks!

Nagi! Where to begin!!!!🤔 ….ok I’ll be honest, my favourite recipes are anything on your blog that can be cooked in one pan, dish or pot & arrive to the table smelling divine & making me look like I’ve been busy sweating over the stove rather than sitting on the sofa catching up on the bold & the beautiful (I know crime! Covid lockdown in Melbs turned me into someone else!) Thank you for helping me cook for my family with anything I could grab hold of the last 6 months😘

Hi Nagi
I would like to see some 600 calorie meals. I absolutely love your recipes but when I need some low cal menus for the days when my calorie intake is limited
My second request would be some videos on your knives skills on how to save time in preparation

Inspiration is what I look to you for i.e. not to have to think what shall we have today.
So, not too complicated with extras that won’t be in the cupboard but cheffie enough to win praise 😄😄

Hi Nagi, huge fan! Thank you for asking us what we would like. Very kind! Could you please do some good snack style foods for lunchboxes that can be frozen (I.e. pizza scrolls or other yummy, healthy treats).
And maybe a yummy Bircher muesli recipe. Thank you!!

I appreciate easy prep with easy to find ingredients. Healthy with more veggies and less meat. Freezer friendly is also nice when cooking for one. There is never too much Dozer.

Hi Nagi,
firstly thank you for all the recipes. Everything I’ve tried has been perfect – delicious.
I’d love to see:
More chicken breast recipes
More mince recipes (ideally lower fat}
Make ahead dinners
More Asian food
More Mexican
Different styles of kebab /meat skewers
Half hour meals
Breakfast options
I’d love a back to basics series of tips and tricks.
Also, if the nutritional info could go back to saying the approx grams per serving please, not all the recipes have it and I find it helpful to see the grams.
Wishing you a fantastic 2021.
Thanks

Totally agree on the banana thing! I eat basically anything, except banana.
Would love more vegetarian recipes and tips about how to use leftovers.

Hi;
A very hot Pork Vindaloo Curry with traditional vinegar and potatoes. Something VERY spicy to suit those of us who love hot food. The rest have plenty of recipes to choose from.
Cheers

Happy NY to you & Dozer! I’d love to see some appetizers/drink nibbles as well as your take on different cuisines (I’m a sucker for anything spicy). Oohhh and cocktails

You are my go to girl. Have never had a failed recipe and always so tasty. I have been cooking for quie a few years and so I know how long it takes to caramelise an onion or saute a chicken breast. Perhaps you may consider putting a timer on your videos so that the less experienced cooks will not hurry what sometimes seems to take an eternity but makes all the difference.
I must admit that although I dont measure everything into itty bitty little bowls I at least now get all my ingredients out on the benchtop before I start. Boy does that make a difference to making a recipe come together so much more easily.
I would also love some slow cooker recipes. Mine are often watery and tastless.
Keep up the wonderful work, not only sharing your wonderful recipes, but spreading joy with your warmth, humour and empathy.

So glad you’re out of strict lockdown. I’d like to see more quickish vegetarian meals and main meal salads – and of course more Dozer who might be the luckiest dog in the world!
