More to come! Lots, lots, lots more…. – Nagi x
Request a recipe!
I spend an inordinate amount of time deciding which recipes to share.
My biggest problem is that there are so many recipes I want to share, things that get me doing the jiggy because it’s so good but then before I dash off to film and photograph the recipe, I pause and think – will my readers get excited about this too?? Will they really go and try this?
It’s always interesting when I publish a new recipe to see how many people read it. After 4 years of blogging (that’s middle aged in Internet terms!), you’d think I’d be able to get it right 100% of the time.
And mostly, I can.
I knew you’d love the Sticky Honey Mustard Drumsticks and go bonkers over the Pad Thai and Tikka Masala. I didn’t expect you’d be clamouring for the Quiche Lorraine or Avocado Dip, and I guessed right. 🙂
But other times, you surprise me! I did not expect such an amazing response to the Homemade Pastrami from last Friday, nor that the Garlic Butter Kale Rice would become such a firm favourite!
And after all those hours of contemplating what recipes I think you want, it finally dawned on me: Why don’t I ask you??
DUH!
And so, here we are. Finally – because it took me so ridiculously to arrive at this point – FINALLY I’m asking you:
WHAT RECIPES DO YOU WANT ME TO SHARE?
Drop your requests in the comments section below!
Be as specific or as general as you want. I just ask 2 simple things:
-
Please do a quick little Search to see if I’ve already shared it!
-
No banana anything! It’s the only normal thing I can’t stand. Awful, smelly, slimy things that they are!?
{UPDATE: Scroll to the top for a list of requested recipes that I have published!}
I obviously can’t promise that I’ll share every recipe requested, being that I’m just one person who does need to sleep on occasion! But I’ll certainly share the most requested ones, and I’ll regularly pop back here when I’m planning my recipe calendar.
LIFE OF DOZER
Hairdresser appointments are always extremely productive – I get my highlights and make recipe videos. Dozer gets his pats.

Hi Angela, I love green curry! One to add to the list!

Hey Nagi,
I would like to request 2 recipes (greed):
1. Tom Yum soup (is the one without coconut milk the actual authentic one?)
2. Dynamite shrimps. Not sure if you have PF Changs in Australia, but certainly you would have come across it in US. For years people have been trying to replicate the recipe, but no one could hit the bulls eye as yet. I’m obsessed with them. I know you have a knack for all things crispy and the amazing sauces you make with such little ingredients. If anyone can do it its you!
Nagi says
Hi Beenx! I’ve had it and tried to replicate it but wasn’t 100% happy. Now it’s been too long since I had it and can’t exactly remember the flavour, I will try again after the next time I visit the states! N x

Hi Nagi,
I hope your well👍.
Could you share your version of jalapeno rice?
I’m pretty sure it’s Mexican origin and it’s absolutely delicious.
Thanks in advance.
Take care,
Phil.

Hello! I made a recipe from the Cooking Channel last night called Shrimp Stuffed Sweet Potatoes by Bobby Deen. The potato, spinach, garlic, cheese and sour cream were amazingly delicious together and not something I ever thought about doing on my own. The shrimp might not have been needed and the presentation was so messy (sweet potato skins aren’t sturdy enough to stuff like a twice baked russet potato) that I just threw the filling in a casserole dish and baked it. I’m so curious if you could take this recipe and really make it awesome! The flavors are there…thank you!!

Hey Nagi
I would love to see more mince meat recipes that freeze well. Like your chilli con carne and Keema beef curry (I use lamb mince for that one and it’s awesome!). There’s a mince beef curry on woksoflife that is pretty good, would love to see your version.
Beef and black bean sauce! I found your basic Chinese stirfry sauce to have some of the flavor but I don’t know how much black bean paste to add or if that would even work.
Thanks!

Hi Nagi,
I would like to request a Thai Ginger Beef recipe please. Every recipe of yours is amazing and I don’t bother looking anywhere else anymore. Your all purpose chinese stir fry sauce has changed my life. I gave up stir fries years ago as mine were always a complete fail but not anymore thanks to you! Now I’m excited to try more.
Thank you for your amazing flavours with such simple ingredients.

Hi Nagi,
I’m wondering if you’d like some recipes to try such as malai kofta or Malay nyonya chicken curry to test and share with your readers? I know you’re massive curry fan and I’m happy to share some family recipes from India / South East Asia. Nothing makes me happier than seeing people enjoy food x
Nagi says
Oooh thanks for the ideas Shannon! Not familiar with those exact curries but perhaps I know them as different names! N x

I would love to see red glutinous rice wine chicken recipe. My ancestors are from Fuzhou, but I never learned to make it. it’s a great dish with little recognition I think.

Flan — bonus points if it has a crunchy top!! I got one with a crunchy top just once out of the many times I’ve ordered flan from a local restaurant called Costa Vida. I don’t know why it turned out crunchy on top that one time, but it was double delicious!!
Strawberry funnel cake — Is that just an American thing? I had some at an amusement park recently. They also tend to have funnel cakes at county fairs in the States.

Hi Nagi
Can you tell me how to pronounce your name please? Is it “gi” as in “guitar” or as in “oh gee”? Every time I cook your recipes for my family, I announce the recipe is from you but I am not sure if I say your name right. My family is always happy to dig in when they hear it’s yours.
Does Dozer eat everything you cook up and put on your website?
As for my requests, can you do chocolate eclairs, profiteroles and custard or cream puffs? And some yummy bread recipes?
I really look out for your email in my inbox, I’d never know what to expect but it’s usually yummy and it turns out just like how you say it would!
Nagi says
Hi CY! I’m flattered you asked! 😂 It’s a “g” like “guitar” and my name rhymes with “party”! Oooh I like your requests. Profiteroles has been on my list for ages, it’s super easy to make! Same as eclairs 🙂 I’ll definitely get to them in the coming months! N x
Bec says
Oh pretty, pretty please for profiteroles!!! Thats what I came here to request 🙂 I searched your recipes for it & was so surprised that they werent there – thats how much I’ve come to rely on your delicious recipes 🙂
