It’s not often we have the luxury of being asked – what do you want?
And while I imagine in many situations, that’s a loaded question for a list of unrealistic demands, in the world of RecipeTin Eats, it is somewhat more viable for me to deliver!
The list of recipe and food related ideas I have is long and never ending. New ideas get added every day, things get scratched off as I try and dismiss them. Only the very best, the ones I deem “blog worthy” (yep, that’s a technical term 😂) make it on my website.
The problem is, the number of blog-worthy dishes is very, very long. And there is only so much ground that one girl and her dog can cover.
Thus, I turn to you to ask –
Tell me what you want for 2021!
Or, what do you not want? You can ask for anything! Here are some ideas:
More greens, less meat
More fish!
Work lunch ideas
More Dozer (🤞🏼!)
Dietary specific recipes – low cal / low carb
Freezer friendly recipes
Complete menus – where I share starter/main/sides/dessert like this Arabian Nights Feast I did many years ago (and still rather popular to this day!)
Slow cooker recipes – the “set and forget” sort
I obviously cannot promise to give you absolutely everything you ask for. But I can promise that I will read every response, and what you say will shape the direction of RecipeTin Eats in 2021.
So, talk to me!! – Nagi x
PS Still taking dish specific requests on this page! This is a perpetual list that I use for inspiration, and sometimes I can provide links to recipes from other sources (if I’ve tried them) so you don’t have to wait for me!
PPS Just one thing I can’t deliver on –
🚫🍌 NO BANANA. The only “normal” food I can’t stand, a childhood hangover from all those years my mother would jam a banana in my lunchbox and there it would sit, festering in the Aussie summer heat (pre cooler-bag days) and the banana smell with infuse into everything in the lunchbox. Ever had a banana infused ham sandwich? Not good, my friends. Not good. 🤢
I find it thoroughly amusing that my mother is the master of bento box lunches but failed to even consider the most basic fundamentals of putting together a sandwich lunchbox.
And thus, I am scarred for life. No bananas!😇 (Blame mum)
Life of Dozer
Launching into 2021, Dozer style:
And PS, wow, what a response to the Interview With Dozer!! Trust Dozer to close out 2020 with the single most commented on post of the year. Stealing my thunder – and I totally love it. 🥰

Hi Nagi,
Love getting your emails and just love the adventures of Dozer he is so gorgeous. If you could pop in a couple of pressure cooker recipes that would be great too.❤️

Hi Nagi, and happy new year!
I think your website is lovely as it is, you have many posts for recipes that I’m interested in, and it’s also great being inspired by new ideas that I hadn’t considered myself before. It’s a great mix 👍🏻
I would love it if you perhaps looked into posting more low carb meals. I’ve made many recipes from your site, and those that are low carb are a wonderful bonus (your cauli fried rice is TERRIFIC).
I did notice a few people commenting about slow cooker meals… If you do decide to do more if these, could you also please consider putting regular cooking instructions for those of us without slow cookers? I know you’ve done this on other recipes that you’ve posted before and I really appreciate it!
Thank you for your wonderful work Nagi, you are a real treasure.

Hi Nagi,
Oooh, I will continue thinking on this, but my first thoughts are these. Now, I’m not sure if this is up your alley exactly, but we cook a lot of your recipes and we are wine drinkers who like to pair a wine with the meal. Is this something you would like to make recommendations on? We are fairly serious wine drinkers, but I know this isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, so to speak!
The other thought is yes, full dinner party menus and if this is paired with a timetable for preparation, that would save me a lot of time when entertaining!
Thank you, love what you do!!

Hi Nagi, as someone who has been less active this last year than usual (covinactivity) ! And has added a few extra kegs, I’d love some more of your fab healthy recipes. I just did a week of your Vietnamese meals: chicken pho, chicken salad, bun cha, chicken pho again! Absolutely fabulous, and a great way to actually use up all the bean sprouts and herbs. Healthy low cal, as you do so well, more options please? ☺️🤞
And of course, never enough Dozer! K xx

Hi Nagi
I’m a fan for sure and I have used quite a few of your recipes at the high school canteen that I run.
The kids love curries and things like that(your fried rice recipe is a huge success) as well as sandwiches, salads and wraps(your beef burrito another big hit) but I need some inspiration for interesting wraps and sandwiches.
Is this something you could help me with? I realise that most of your readers might not be too interested in this and I guess it might be a bit boring for you. Anyway – just thought I’d mention it.
Welcome out of your lockdown.

Nagi,
Thanks for your site.
Often I find that I am left with either yolks or whites from a recipe where I have used one or the other in another recipe.
Can I suggest that you give us your five (say) favourite ideas for using leftover yolks (with links to recipes) and likewise, your five favourite recipes for using leftover egg whites?
Thanks again.

Hi Nagi – I love your blog and have told heaps of family and friends about it and many of them now follow it as well. I am currently following the Weight Watchers program and would love some recipes for main dishes that would fit that program

Welcome back ! Every time I heard ‘Northern Beaches’ in the media and that was a myriad of times a day – it was a case of ‘How are those two ? I shall not use the word ‘happy’ but I do hope that the year to come will give you most of what you desire . . .
As to what I would love to see – simple –
Healthy Asian/Australian fusion, especially Vietnamese, Korean, Malaysian, Shanghainese and Sichuan . . . easy-peasy 🙂 !!!

What I tend to find myself gravitating towards on your site are your fantastic Asian dishes.
I would love to see more “ready in 15-30 mins” Asian classics. Give me fast, fresh, tasty Asian cuisine that my Asian mates wouldn’t scoff at if I shared photos of the dish on Instagram.

Hi Nagi, Your recipes are sooo good! I would like more Japanese recipes and more recipes for main meals that you can make ahead and freeze for the week. I really like your tips on what tools to purchase, so how about one on your best appliances to buy?

Hi Nagi, I would love easy to make and pack lunch ideas for work or high school. Recipes with simple steps that teenagers (and my husband) can use to learn to cook.
